Abstract
Ghor or ancient Georgia includes a very large area between Ghazna, Kabul, Balkh and Herat and is the first to accept the Shia religion in the current geography of Afghanistan. According to historical documents, the Shia religion entered this land in the years 36-40 and Al Shansab, who were in charge of the local government of this land, were the first Shiites. This article was compiled with the aim of investigating the background of Islam with the description of Shiism in the current geography of Afghanistan, and since its content is a mixture of historical and ideological topics, the descriptive method was used for the historical topics and the descriptive-analytical method was used for the ideological topics. According to the findings of this research, the land of old Ghor, with an area between Herat and Balkh, Ghazna and Kabul today, is the same land that had rulers named Al Shansab. This family was preserved in Balad Ghor during the reign of Hazrat Amirul Momineen (AS). Therefore, it can be said that the first adopters of Shiism, even if it was emotional Shiism, were the residents of Ghor in today's Afghanistan.
