Obstacles to the rapprochement of religions and Islamic unity in Afghanistan

Abstract

The differences and divisions that the Muslim people of Afghanistan face are rooted in the doubts that the opponents and enemies of Islamic societies, especially in Afghanistan, raise. This article attempts to address the most important obstacles and problems that exist in achieving Islamic unity and the rapprochement of religions. Based on the research findings in this article, these obstacles and problems, which sometimes cause concern and anxiety among people, include ethnicism, hatred, selfishness, following sensual desires, ignorance and rebellion, lack of invitation to unity and convergence, sedition, and negative propaganda. These factors have created the ground for division and separation among Muslims and mental anxiety in this land. In this article, an attempt is made to analyze and identify the obstacles and challenges that negatively affect Muslim unity by examining the roots of these problems using an analytical and descriptive method. The main goal of the article is to shed light on the harms and challenges that exist in the path of religious rapprochement in Afghanistan and to provide solutions to deal with these obstacles.
